by a REGISTERED DIETITIAN

How often should I meet with a dietitian?
Frequency depends on your goals, needs, and level of support desired. Most clients begin with an initial consultation and continue with follow-up sessions to track progress and adjust their plan. Packages can provide structure and ongoing accountability.
Are Registered Dietitian services covered by insurance?
In Ontario, many health benefits plans include Registered Dietitian services. Plans may also include these services under a Health Spending Account (HSA).
Coverage varies, so please check your specific plan.
If you or your spouse have employer benefits, you may be eligible for up to $1,000 annually.
Dietitian services are also tax deductible.
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
A referral is not required to schedule an appointment.
However, some insurance plans may require a physician referral for reimbursement. It’s best to confirm this with your insurer.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book directly online at your convenience.
We gladly accept physician referrals, but they are not needed unless your insurance plan specifies one for coverage.
What is the payment process?
Payment is required in full at booking.
Services are billed directly to you, as we do not submit claims to insurance providers.
A detailed receipt will be issued for you to submit for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that cancellations or rescheduling be made at least 24 hours in advance. This helps us accommodate clients on the waiting list and ensures preparation time for each session is respected. Thank you for your understanding.
How do the packages work?
Our 'Signature Packages' provide structured guidance and offer cost savings compared to à la carte visits. Most clients benefit from regular sessions to stay accountable and continue progressing toward their goals.
Can you make me a meal plan?
Yes. Personalized meal plans are available with our signature packages. Each meal plan is created based on your preferences, lifestyle, goals, and nutritional needs to ensure it aligns with your daily routine.
What’s the difference between a nutrition plan and a meal plan?
A personalized nutrition plan gives you your overall strategy—goals, habits, daily structure, and tailored guidance.
A personalized meal plan gives you actual meals, recipes, and a menu based on that strategy.
Think:
• Nutrition Plan = what to do
• Meal Plan = what to eat
